Lot 1418: Ducati 900SS

The first of the SS (Super Sports) 'Desmo' models was the 750 of 1974. This was followed in 1975 by the 900SS, both versions were high performance sports models which were equally suitable for racing. This particular machine was originally sold by Ducati specialist Mick Walker from his Wisbech, Camb's showrooms and was first registered on 16th May 1979 and has been with the current owner since 1990. Besides the original specification which includes black and gold paintwork, triple Brembo disc brakes, 40mm Dell'Orto 'pumper' carb's and fairing, it also has both single and dual seats, an expensive cost option from the Ducati factory in Bologna. Although the SS has not been used recently it has been dry stored and is in great overall condition, the engineer owner has attended to turning the engine over manually every month and a new battery is present. A chance to own one of the most iconic sports motorcycles of the 70's with performance and handling abilities to shame much later machinery. Supplied with V5 documentation.
