Lot 075: 1965 SUNBEAM ALPINE SERIES 4 AUTOMATIC

Classic Cars, H&H Classic Auctions Ltd (27th July 2005)

Introduced in 1964, the Sunbeam Alpine Series IV retained the same basic platform and mechanicals as its predecessors but sported revised, more up-to-date styling (the most noticeable change being the adoption of subtler tailfins). Finished in white with red upholstery, this particular example is rated by the vendor as being "all good" with regard to its chassis, bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, engine, gearbox, electrical equipment and wheels / tyres. Reported to have covered just 36,800 miles from new, it apparently comes with an "extensive history file including original invoice and every MOT since 3 years old thus confirming mileage". Equipped with the rare automatic transmission option, DLY 777C is said to "drive as well as it did when new and always starts first time even when having stood all winter". Benefiting from a desirable detachable hardtop and wire wheels, it is offered for sale with MOT certificate valid until 28th April 2006 and road tax until May 2006.
