Asia Motors, South Korea
This KIA-owned company was formed to make small-medium sized commercial vehicles, and in 1994 launched the Rocsta, a Jeep-like vehicle powered by a 2194cc 4-cylinder diesel engine with either 2- or 4-wheel drive. It was joined in 1996 by the Retona, a similar design, but on a longer wheelbase and with a more powerful 16-valve twin-ohc petrol engine of 1998cc, with the option of a single-ohn turbo diesel of the same dimensions.
