PORSCHE 924 GOLD PORTFOLIO 1975-1988

For almost 30 years Porsche stuck to the rear-engined format and so it was a surprise in 1975 when the 924 was announced and it had a water-cooled, in-line engine at the front. It had a sporty 2+2 body. As is Porsches way the car was developed and refined over the years with the addition of a turbo version in 1978, although this ceased in 1982. In 1985 the 924 was replaced by the 924S using a de-tuned 2.5-litre 944 engine.
