The NF, or New Fourteen as it was originally titled, was 'another go' at making a mid range family saloon with good performance.
Having tested the OHC 1604cc unit in the 'Fourteen' and in the '14 Hornet Special', Wolseleys then set about making the car more spacious inside. The result was an unsuccessful Nuffield Motors product. If they were so keen to improve on the 'Fourteen' they might have achieved more with a clean sheet.
